J.P. Pascual aka Freeky P is an influential DJ, producer and designer based out of Vancouver, BC.

A staple of Vancouver nightlife and culture, P has held residencies at the city’s most celebrated clubs, DJed high profile events for Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Chanel, and blessed the stage as a supporting act for The Weeknd, J Cole,  2Chainz, Tory Lanez, Sean Paul and Mr. Eazi among others. Most recently he co-founded JYRATE, Vancouver’s only strictly Afrobeat night, experienced monthly at new locations.

Tracing back his diverse musical tastes to his family – P specifically accredits his older cousins, who sang in vocal groups throughout his youth, instilling in him his early love for R&B and Hip Hop; and more so earlier to his mother- a choreographer, dancer and teacher specializing in Tahitian and Hawaiian dances, swing and disco. His father’s record collection was the other major musical input of his formative years, exposing him to smooth jazz, funk, soul, acid rock and prog.

P’s journey in the creative industries began quite literally at street level, when he joined the Warner Bros. street team at age 23. From there he moved into an Office Manager position with Nettwerk Music Group, where he spent the years that followed absorbing everything he could about the music business. Fast forward to today, P remains a faithful student of both music and fashion, and a prolific creator and curator in each.

As a designer, Freeky P’s t-shirt line, N8NE (No One), has garnered international attention for its playful remixing of popular culture deep rooted in vintage bootleg composition. P’s past design clients and collaborators include Vashtie, Hudson’s Bay, F as in Frank, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and 143 out of LA. Since launching in 2014, N8NE shirts have been spotted on the backs of celebrities and influencers alike including Drake, Diplo, Questlove, G-Eazy, Ben Baller, Charlamagne the God, Keke Palmer, Emily Oberg, Goldlink and Desus & Mero.

Believing music and fashion are languages, P describes them as a interchangeable convo shared with one another, bridging classes and all walks of life. His life-long dedication to expanding his vocabulary in these cultures have not only developed his one of one diversity it has refined his tongue and taste.
